FAQ

Have questions?

Here are answers to some of the most common concerns patients have before their first visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

The fastest and most reliable way to request an appointment is by submitting a request through our website. Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, this allows us to efficiently review your information and determine whether our clinic is the right fit for your needs.

If you require urgent assistance, please contact your family doctor, visit a walk-in clinic, or go to the nearest emergency department. We are unable to provide emergency care at our clinic.

Biopsies

A referral is required for all biopsies.

New Patients

No referral is needed if you are seeking one of the specific treatments listed on our website.

While not required, referrals often include helpful medical history and test results, which can streamline your consultation and ensure the most appropriate care.

Existing Patients

Follow-up visits and appointments for new urologic concerns do not require a new referral if you’re already a patient at our clinic.

You can expect a response from our Patient Coordinator within 5 business days.

Your initial consultation is always complimentary if you are a Canadian resident with a valid provincial health coverage.

Most of the advanced treatments offered at our clinic are not covered by OHIP or other provincial health plans.

Some workplace or extended health plans may offer full or partial coverage for certain procedures. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to find out if the specific treatment you’re considering is eligible for reimbursement.

In most cases, yes. Many medical expenses not covered by insurance or OHIP are eligible for a tax credit. However, we suggest speaking with your accountant and/or reviewing the CRA guidelines: Medical Expenses Tax Credit

Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete your intake form. Bring:

  • A list of current medications
  • Any recent test results, blood work, or relevant paperwork
  • Your insurance card, if applicable

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as early as possible so we can offer the time slot to another patient.

Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment may incur a fee charged directly to you.

We require at least 2 weeks’ notice for treatment cancellations. Late cancellations will result in a cancellation fee.
